Five of IU basketball’s seven transfer portal commitments in top 150 of 247Sports rankings
247Sports released its final top 150 rankings for the players who entered the transfer portal this spring earlier today.
Five of Indiana’s seven commitments are included in the rankings.
Here’s a look at where each player landed:
21. Tucker DeVries (from West Virginia)
DeVries is a two-time Missouri Valley Conference player of the year with one season of eligibility left. Over four seasons at Drake and West Virginia, the 6-foot-7 forward owns career averages of 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He’s a career 36.7 percent 3-point shooter.
48. Lamar Wilkerson (from Sam Houston)
Indiana beat out Kentucky and several other schools for Wilkerson. The sharpshooter committed to the Hoosiers on April 15. Wilkerson, who averaged 20.5 points per game last season and shot 44.5 percent on 3s, has one season of eligibility remaining.
65. Reed Bailey (from Davidson)
One of IU’s first portal additions, Bailey was a first-team All-Atlantic 10 selection for the Wildcats last season. He committed to Indiana on April 6 and averaged 18.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists last season. Bailey has one season to play for the Hoosiers.
107. Tayton Conerway (from Troy)
The Sun Belt player of the year committed to the Hoosiers on April 16. He ranked third in the country in steals with 98 and averaged 14.2 points, 4.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds in 30.3 minutes per game for an NCAA tournament team. Conerway has one season of eligibility left.
114. Jasai Miles (from North Florida)
A Florida native, Miles announced his commitment to Indiana on April 16. An All-ASUN third team selection last season, Miles averaged 15.4 points per game for the Ospreys and has two seasons of eligibility left.
Conor Enright (from DePaul) and Jason Drake (from Drexel) are not in the top 150.
Among outgoing IU players, Malik Reneau is No. 51, Mackenzie Mgbako is No. 67 and Myles Rice is No. 93.
The highest ranked player entering the Big Ten next season is Yaxel Lendeborg, who transferred from UAB but is also considering staying in the NBA draft.
