With the Hoosiers still clinging to a two-point lead early in the second half, Langford comes down the court and finds Morgan early in the shot clock:

He hoists the 3-pointer and misses:

Maryland grabs the rebound and Cowan gets the ball just before half court:

Al Durham Jr. overplays Cowan’s right and he gets by him left:

Now in the lane, Morgan opts to stop Cowan and the ball, leaving Fernando. Cowan makes the pass to Fernando:

He catches and all Morgan can do is reach:

Fernando drunks it home to tie the contest:

This play illustrates that as Indiana’s perimeter defense decayed in the second half, it opened up opportunities for Fernando down low.
