Barret Benson sets a ball screen for Bryant McIntosh:
Morgan hedges as Collin Hartman rotates off the perimeter to ward off the pass to Benson:
As the pass comes back to Anthony Gaines on the right wing, Hartman now heads out to recover on his man, while Morgan recovers back to Benson:
Both are back to their men and no entry pass comes as Morgan fronts:
Later in the possession, Benson sets another ball screen for McIntosh. Morgan hangs back:
Morgan and Newirk force McIntosh to the right wing and Johnson slides over to give a little help on Benson:
Johnson recovers back out to Scottie Lindsey as Morgan is able to get back to Benson, too. With just a few ticks left on the shot clock, McIntosh drives on Newkirk:
He hits a tough contested runner in the lane with the shot clock winding down:
Did the Wildcats score on this possession? Sure. But Indiana’s help and recovery was strong here. And the shot McIntosh had to hoist shows that even when Northwestern got a bucket during the Hoosiers’ run, it didn’t come easy.
