A few possessions later and Indiana runs identical action. Smith again passes to Johnson on the left wing and cuts through the paint. Newkirk again cuts along the baseline:

As Johnson dribbles out to the top of the key and makes the pass to Newkirk, Morgan and Smith assume their same positions again, too:

But with Northwestern’s zone shifted over to thwart the pass to Smith, Newkirk tosses the skip pass to Zach McRoberts on the right wing:

McRoberts immediately passes to Johnson at the top of the key as the defense scrambles over:

This allows him space to rise, fire and connect on the 3-pointer:
