Film Session: Purdue

After Bryant misses the front end of a 1-and-1 attempt, Dakota Mathias launches a 3-pointer near the right corner. On the weak side Thompson starts moving towards the basket as Robert Johnson and James Blackmon Jr. look on:

Blackmon Jr. continues to look at the shot with Thompson behind him:

But without blocking out Thompson, it allows the long rebound to go to him after Blackmon Jr. tries a late lunge for it:

This gets him out of position on Thompson’s spin to the hoop and he falls to the ground. Indiana has Johnson and Morgan somewhat near:

But Thompson gets the basket untouched for the bucket to put Purdue up four at 61-57:

This was Thompson’s only offensive rebound of the game and it was a big one.
