Down just three with 4:34 to go, Indiana’s back in a 2-3:

Here again, Bielfeldt is up in Colson’s space when he receives the ball further out than where he’d been getting it. Anunoby is also shaded over towards Auguste, which Ferrell is calling out:

With no easy look for himself or Auguste, Colson passes back out to the perimeter and Notre Dame has to reset:

Colson goes into the role of ball screener for Jackson over on the left side and he drives down the left side of the lane:

Zeisloft does a nice job of getting around the screen and sticks with him alright. Bielfeldt and Anunoby are both offering resistance at the rim and Jackson takes a difficult up-and-under shot that misses:

He’s able to corral the rebound and dishes it out to Vasturia:

The shot misses badly and Bielfeldt rebounds:

Bielfeldt would outlet to Ferrell, who nailed a pull-up 3-pointer in transition to tie the game.

By cutting off Colson’s air space a little better early in the possession, Notre Dame had to go to other options. And Indiana contested well at the rim on that other option. Williams’ wild closeout also appeared to disrupt Vasturia into a poor shot.
