Film Session: Late game miscues

On the ensuing inbounds, the Hoosiers have Penn State marked up, but Pat Chambers is looking to get in some subs:

So the play is stopped and those subs are allowed in. This mixes up Indiana. As the ref is about to give the ball to the inbounder, Noah Vonleh is caught on nobody and Ferrell — who has been guarding Frazier before the stoppage in play — signals for him to jump to Frazier. He recognizes and does it:

But this is a clear mismatch. Frazier gets the ball:

Blows by the bigger Vonleh:

Hollowell comes off Brandon Taylor to stop the ball:

Taylor rises and hits the 3-pointer with no one near him:

The mismatch allowed Frazier to gain the advantage and the Nittany Lions capitalized to cut IU’s lead to four.
