Film Session: Giving up the 3-ball

Here’s a set play Nebraska ran well. Walter Pitchford screens Noah Vonleh as Shields slices between Vonleh and Jeremy Hollowell:

Shields gets his body between Hollowell and Gallegos as he passes out to Gallegos, giving him space to get off a shot:

Hollowell is able to get around and out to him, but he fouls him in the process — setting up a four-point play:

This was a simple little set run by Nebraska to get into the gaps of the zone and get them a good open look that Indiana wasn’t able to counter.
